Sorry for the awful pic. I'm pretty sure I have seen this car before, but it appears to have been "wrapped" since then. Then again given the area (Main Line, PA), it would not surprise me if there were more than a few Carrera GT's around. Anyway, one of my fav's.

I'm surprised it's not on fire and wrapped around a tree.

They're nothing short of spectacular. A guy downtown Toronto drives a yellow one and every time i see it i can't help but stop, stare, and listen to the amazing sound

One way to die happy, assuming you're going fast enough to avoid any possible suffering.

Yes the sound is the kicker, the car is beautiful, but the exhaust will make you go from 6 to midnight.

That's by the police station, right? Near Mikado?

In a way I'm not surprised, seeing as how Algar is up the road and Don Rosen is nearby.

A fellow in a nearby suburb bought a Carrera GT years ago when they were still in production. Somehow one of the local TV stations got wind of it and went to interview him about it on the day he took delivery. The reporter was suitably awestruck, and the new owner was gracious enough to talk to the reporter about it briefly.

Had it been me, I probably would've chased them off with a shotgun. Seriously...what public interest does it serve to tell everyone within an hour of the city that this guy just bought a half-million dollar car (or whatever it was at the time)? Only thing I can figure is that if he didn't, they'd have engaged in some serious wealth-shaming, shooting video of him taking delivery while shaking their heads about how ostentatious he was.

There's only one around here that I know of, and it's this one. Chassis 672 or 674 or something if I recall correctly (there's a plaque above the shifter). Have drooled on it both at C&C and also at the Devon Whole Foods - actually, that time the owner's mother was sitting in the car and I was like "hey not to be creepy but do you mind if I gawk at this for a minute?" She was awesome. We had a nice chat lol. It's amazing what you see if you sit outside drinking beer at the Whole Foods.

It's true, but I bet you park your M far away from the chaos that is the whole foods parking lot.

I live across the street pretty much, so I walk over. It never leaves the garage. If I DO have to park there, it's usually over in that weird side lot by the hair salon, beyond the liquor store. Under NO circumstances do I use the center lane that stretches from the traffic light at 30 to the store itself, which I have dubbed "the gauntlet." However, when drinking beer outside (which is basically any nice day), I sit where I can see the gauntlet clearly, for that is where the excitement takes place. Near misses, actual collisions, curb excursions, ego vs ego - it's all there for the viewing. Main line + world's worst parking lot + world's largest assholes = better than the movies.

Funny you should mention that weird lot, as that is how I would describe it and it's also where I park. I'll usually pull in on the Starbucks side to avoid even passing through the gauntlet. I used to ride my bike there every day a few summers ago for lunch because penndot had to hang on to my license for a few months;) It's pretty funny to watch the range rover drivers and prius drivers scoff at each other while getting high on the smell of their own farts.

Hahaha you park there too!?!? Awesome. I also use the starbucks side. Too funny. If you see me there please say hello - I'm normally wearing either a DelVal BMW hat or a track shirt or driving shoes or laughing out loud at the prius drivers. Lots of dead giveaways.

Will do, you will probably won't catch me there during the week, but we almost always go to Nudy's on the weekends. I'm going surfing early Saturday morning so I wont be at C&C, perhaps the following weekend.
